Question: How do I qualify for a summer job? What else do I need to know?
Answer: You must be a Broward County resident between the ages of 14 and 18, and be receiving free or reduced lunch at your school. If you are not in school or if you do not receive free or reduced lunch at school, other eligibility requirements will apply including the income of your family. Click here for a worksheet that must be completed and signed by your parent or guardian if you are 14-18, in school and do not receive free or reduced lunch at your school. You must be willing to attend a two-hour workshop. We will also be directly depositing your paycheck every two-weeks and will assist you in getting a free bank account if you don't already have one.
