FBO/CBO
In 2002, the State of Florida received a $1.1 million grant from the United States Department of Labor that allowed WorkForce One to organize a consortium of faith and community-based organizations in South Florida to help link us with the community at-large. Several members of the consortium also housed Internet-based kiosks that would allow job seekers to access employment, training and social service information.
Today, the FBO-CBO Consortium has a membership of over 100 organizations and WorkForce One Kiosks are in 7 locations throughout Broward County. Job seekers can gain access to all of the job listings as well as information about services offered in the One Stops without traveling to any of the Centers.To find out more about the FBO-CBO Consortium, please e-mail fbocbo2431@aol.com.
